Dorood and welcome to GardeshGuide! Your space to explore the International Iranian Scene: Restaurants, Events, Businesses and more…
Iranian coffee shops are our current obsession, where you can get your daily caffeine fix with Iranian touches. Although Iranians are renowned tea drinkers, this was not always the case - before tea, there was coffee. In Iran from the 16th to 18th centuries, coffee houses or ghahve khane were popular cultural hubs where people gathered to socialise, recite poetry and drink coffee. Tea replaced coffee in the 19th century after increased production made it more popular, but the legacy of the ghahve khane lives on with these Iranian coffee shops. Let’s see where you can get your coffee with a side of culture!
